Tell me about Weekdate.
WeekDate is the high tech calendar for people who love paper.

Balancing the phone between your ear and shoulder... trying to do a million things... suddenly the voice on the phone tells you that your monthly book club or weekly status meeting has been moved to another day of the month or week. While some scramble through each month or week to make the change, the smart person has a WeekDate calendar... makes the change once and Voilà! – done for the year.

How did WeekDate come to be?
Have you ever looked at something and said to yourself, "There has to be a better way"? Well, I was at dinner one night with a new homeschool support group, and a woman pulled a small calendar from her purse. You know the kind, about the size of a checkbook, tiny squares, sort of blah. And I said to myself, "Oh look, she has a calendar just like mine, and she probably hates hers as much as I hate mine." I was busy writing all the regular scheduled monthly and weekly activities of the group for the upcoming weeks and months, and ... well, the amount of writing was insane. I just started thinking that there has to be a way to write recurring events on a paper calendar. There has to be a way to overlap the paper to see things that happen over and over but just actually write them only once.

That night I let my mind continue to wander and came up with the early designs of the WeekDate. My husband encouraged me to "get it on the computer" and print the first prototypes. A short time later, I had the patent application filed and had launched the product in time for 2005 Christmas sales! It's been many years since that first WeekDate calendar and I've made many improvements by listening to my customers. I work hard to deliver the best possible paper planner at the best possible price, but still made in the U.S. and always keep the unique features of the WeekDate Calendar System.

I hope that some day WeekDate will be the standard for busy people everywhere and I wish to provide you with as many tools as you need to help you stay organized and in control of your life. It's sometimes an interesting world mixing between paper and digital. (My real background is programming.) I created WeekDate out of a frustration of first digital, then boring paper calendars. I love to say that WeekDate is the high-tech calendar for people who love paper.

I never forget that when one of my WeekDates is tucked away in the purse or briefcase of a customer, a little piece of me goes along for the ride.

Tell me about the price. Isn't $22.99 a lot for a calendar?
We believe most calendar makers are afraid to try anything new. We believe most calendar makers are afraid to use color to make our lives simpler. Color costs money. Every page of your WeekDate Weekly Planner is color coded to tell you what week in the month we're in. We were very emphatic about this when creating WeekDate because we wanted to make our lives (and yours) more manageable. That was the first priority. Simply put, high quality with unique features requires a slightly higher price. We have done everything to keep your price reasonable.

Where are the WeekDate products made?
Made In the US

Made in the USA. Made in South Carolina. This also means you are paying for American jobs and American quality.

And you're GREEN too?
Yep. The offices of WeekDate run on solar electric power.

Are there any risks to purchasing?
There are no risks. We are always happy to refund your purchase price, minus the shipping, if you are not happy with your WeekDate.

What is the company behind WeekDate?
The Art of Kay Odell is Kodell Art. Kodell Art, LLC is the company behind WeekDate and is located in Greenville, South Carolina. Kodell Art was formed in the spring of 2004 in order to provide a business structure for the sales of non-commissioned and commissioned paintings, note cards, and other products featuring the art of Kay Odell. WeekDate was invented and became patent pending in the fall of 2005 by Kay. To allow for many of the WeekDate covers to feature Kay's art and designs, it was decided that the WeekDate products would be offered under the business enterprise of Kodell Art. Since that time, Kodell Art has been working to provide additional WeekDate productivity products. We hope that some day WeekDate will be the standard for busy people everywhere and we wish to provide you with as many tools as you need to help you stay organized and in control of your life.

What shipping service do you use?
All WeekDate products are shipped United States Postal Service® normally within 1 to 2 business days of placing your order. We ship quickly, so please check your shipping address right away. Sorry but you lose shipping charges on all orders returned to us due to incorrect shipping addresses.

How much will my shipping charges cost?

Do you ship internationally?
I am so sorry, but I made the decision with this new format (July of 2018) to not ship internationally. After years of shipping worldwide, international shipping has turned out to be very expensive, difficult and frustrating for my small business for only a small amount of international customers. Customs holdups, lost packages, constant inquiries from customers on slow shipping... all things that I, as a business owner cannot control. If I change my mind to allow international shipping, I will notify customers via social media and the WeekDate email list. ~Kay

Why so much for shipping?
We try to keep all our prices and fees as low as possible. There is a lot that goes into the shipping and handling fees that we charge our customers. There's the cost of the actual shipping. That's only one part of it. There's also the cost of the materials to ship it in and packing material. We are a small, yet growing, company. There are also labor costs for printing your shipping label with care, taking each WeekDate, carefully handling it to put it in the box or mailer, including packing material, securing it with packing tape, adhering the shipping label, and getting it to the Postal Service. This takes valuable labor time. We try to keep our shipping costs at their very lowest and we are sorry if you feel that it is too much to enjoy the unique design of the WeekDate calendar. We are proud of our calendars and want them to arrive at your door in perfect condition and hope you do to.

I accidentally sent my order to the wrong address/undeliverable address. What happens next?
1. If you inform us that you have provided a wrong shipping address, then we will try to intercept the order prior to shipping, but we cannot guarantee it because we process orders quickly.

2. If you provided a wrong address and if the order is not returned to us, then sorry, but we are not responsible. We cannot issue a refund.

3. If the order is returned to us due to an undeliverable address (or other unknown reasons), then we will refund your payment minus the cost of shipping and you may re-order with a correct shipping address.

Do you charge tax?
We are required to charge 6% tax for all on orders shipped to South Carolina residents.

What is your return policy?
1. There are no risks. We are always happy to refund your purchase price (on shipped products only) if you are not happy with your WeekDate.

Upon receipt of your WeekDate, we will refund your purchase price. Sorry, but we cannot refund shipping and handling expenses. It would be helpful if you could return it in it's original packaging to protect it for the next customer. Thank you. If returned after 60 days from the purchase date, your refund will be "money sent" to the purchasing email through PayPal. This is a requirement of PayPal.

I see you are sold out of this year's planners. Will you get more?
Okay, here's the real story. We are a small, very small company. (It's just me, Kay. I say a lot of 'we's, but it's really just little 'ol me.) We cannot afford to have dated calendars left at the end of the year. We can't afford to sell our calendar below our retail price. So we carefully monitor how many sell each year and calculate the projected growth in sales and print that many the next year. We can only do one printing a year, because we need the price break of a one-time printing. Remember all our calendars are printed and assembled here in the U.S. and we work hard to keep our costs low, so your cost is low. So every year we have disappointed customers who miss out and don't pre-order or purchase in time, or simply find us too late in the season. We are SO sorry for each person who doesn't get a calendar. Believe us, it disappoints us as much as it disappoints you. We often get emails that say, "Can't you find just one more for me? I'll even take a beat up looking one. etc." But sorry that's it. When they're all gone, they really are all gone.

Can you find one (even a beat up one) in the back to sell me?
Nope. Sorry. When they're gone, they're gone. Really.

When can I pre-order the next six-month calendar?
Want to know about pre-order availability? Add yourself to our email list. The email list is the first to find out about pre-order dates, new products, and when products are sold out. So keep your eye on our email list. We try to keep our emails to a minimum to respect your inbox. We also notify social media a few days after our email list is informed, too! So the email list gets first priority!

Do you ever discount your calendars?
Sorry, but we will typically do not discount our dated planners. We often sell out before it is time to discount them. If you like our unique and amazing "Only Write It Once" design, help a company out and buy one before they're all gone. We are a small, yet growing, company. Thanks for the WeekDate love!

What are the newest features in the Weekly Planner?
We've been listening! New features for our Weekly Planners!
1. Whole month views will be at the beginning of each month rather than the back of the book.
2. One extra page of notes per calendar month at the beginning of each month.
3. The "WeekDate Time Tracker" to help you see your time as it passes throughout the year.
4. All this in addition to the already great features that make WeekDate truly unique!

Is there room to write notes in your planners?
Yes. We offer one full page of notes at the beginning of each month.

What about cute, passionate little quotes and motivational sayings? Why don't I see those in the WeekDate planners?
We believe that every square inch of space in your planner should be dedicated to you, to your life, to your time, to your planning. So every place we have room in our planner layouts we have added blank lines for your to write your notes, your goals, your to-do's, your dreams, your passions. Have fun. Enjoy. You're welcome.

What is the difference between the "Peel + Stick" Whiteboard and the "Desk Reference Size" Whiteboard?
The "Peel + Stick" Whiteboard is larger and ready for your fridge or a command center wall. It is a removable, reusable & repositionable dry erase board. It is 18" wide x 24" long. A very large format to keep you on top of your time. Our "Desk Reference Size" is meant to sit on top of your desk. It is much smaller at 8" wide x 14" long. There is no adhesive backing at all on the "Desk Reference Size" Whiteboard.

Why are your planners Monday to Sunday format?
I don't know about you but my week starts on a Monday. This enables you to write across Saturday and Sunday for weekend plans. Our customer survey results show that Monday to Sunday is now the preferred format.

Do you plan to offer a Sunday to Saturday format?
We realize that many people would like to see our calendar in a Sunday to Saturday format. Our customer survey results show that Monday to Sunday is now the preferred format. However, when it is feasible for us to offer more products we will consider the Sunday to Saturday format. Do you plan to offer your original Weekly Planner for the academic year?
Jump in any time. With the new format, you can purchase a planner starting in January or July for a six month period.

How do you carry over a To-Do list using the Weekly Planner? I struggle with how to write a to do list without repeating it each day or week. Some items are not done that day but I need to remind myself to do them at some point. How can I do this?
When we first created WeekDate, it was only intended to be a calendar for tracking appointments and recurring events.... but it has turned into so much more. Some people have mentioned putting a lined sticky note in the calendar week and move the sticky note when you flip the page. There are some cute Post-It Notes that come pretty close to fitting in these areas. You can also use the "Monthly Goals/To-Do's/Notes" pages at the beginning of each month to write your ongoing To-Do lists.

I do a lot of things on the same day of the month, like give my pets their meds on the 1st of every month. Is there a way to record those?
Yes! The back of the inside cover of the Weekly Planner is a place to record when things happen on the same day of each month, like paying bills on the 15th of every month. They are called Monthy Set Days.

Do you sell or know of a brand of leather or vinyl cover that fits either of your products?
Yes the Voyager Notebook (sold here on the WeekDate website). Our WeekDate also works as an insert in the Midori Traveler's Notebook and also the Erin Condrin PetitePlanner Folio Planning System.

Do you plan to offer a wall calendar again?
Many people miss the wall calendar that we produced several years ago. When we feel that we have sufficient customer demand, we will offer it again. Do you have an app?

We realize that you, as professionals, are one of our biggest assets. Unfortunately we sell out of our planners each year, so we do not have any "old ones" available. WeekDate has been very well received by the ADD & ADHD community. It was originally not our intention to create a product for this group, but we have heard from many people that it helps them stay organized. Back in 2009, we started receiving emails, but mostly social media, from customers telling us that it was really helping them keep their lives in order and to stay on top of their ADD/ADHD issues. So we began to seek out ways to reach out to this community and the advertisements we have placed in ADDitude Magazine have been very well received. And so, we are excited to be embraced by the ADD & ADHD community! As we said, we did not originally create WeekDate with this in mind, so we do not have any formal study groups, just basic feedback telling us it is helping them in their everyday lives. 1. At WeekDate, your privacy is important to us. We promise to never share, rent, sell, or otherwise give any of your information to anyone, ever.

2. The only time we will contact you individually is to confirm your order via email (or to contact you via email or phone if there's a problem with your order).

3. WeekDate has an opt-in option for our email list. If you want to find out when the next year's calendars are ready or new products are released, please add your name to our email list at the bottom of this or any of our website pages.
